Hobgoblin wolf riders

Ritio, I'm starting to convert hobgoblin wolf riders for my chaos dwarf army and I'm unsure how to paint them, so I'm throwing it open to you guys!

I'm using the Chaos Hounds for the wolves (handily shown in the banner above).  Im torn between two different ways to paint them.  Do I:

1)Paint them a similar style to my Dawi Zharr taurus and giant, with grey rock like skin, fiery fur and lava showing through cracks in their skin

2) Paint them like normal hound fur, with earthy colours

3) other?

Just like my TK fire wolves, go with the lava baby................It's the new snow don't you know....

Fur like, just ground 1 thing in your army to the familiar....

I'm going with fur as well. Keep the lava base obviously, but I think keep it simple with the hounds. It'll also be quicker to paint!

Fur, save the unusual schemes for the Dwarves themselves.

Agreed, too many models using the same paint scheme as the Colossus and the Taurus will detract from them as centre pieces. Also you don't want the wolf riders to out shine the Dwarfs after all they are the second class citizens.
