What are the cookie cutter builds? I'd like to not spend a million points on a Slann....

A cheap slann isn't a bad thing, and with the OG comp you need to be spending points on stuff other than blowpipe skinks.
Stegs supposedly strugle in 8th, though I've not seen it!

Sif.... Beasts & Scarvet spam is where the hotness is. Dave's also swayed me to Death magic

I could see Death magic would be good. Life if you want to go the safe (boring) temple guard route.
I think Light is the most flexible for lizzies.

Not convinced about Beasts, unless you want to go with 3 scar vets in a 'saurus deathstar'. Apart from savage beast the other spells are a bit naff (and you're not allowed to turn your frog into a mountain chimera!  ).

Its actually 4 Scarvets and an Oldblood if you are really going for it  You don't even need the Saurus block at that point

Nah definitely not cookie cutter. Lots of bits of stuff methinks. Definately at least one stegadon in some form though. Hrum was going to try and scrape enough money together to get started on some stuff in September, but not the new vampire shinies are out I'd like to do that first! Hopefully should be enough time....... lizards going to be a slow build anyway, probably wouldn't have anything particularly ace til next summer anyway... I'd like some funky jungle bases... but to make them myself...  /muse
