The Trampoline

What were the final standings and such, any hideous lists that sneaked through?

Thanks to everyone from Team OG who attended Tolworth's first foray into WFB and helped us eat the many, many donuts, I have attached below the results for the weekend.

Best moment of the weekend for me was Mike's reaction to the fact that he had placed 3rd,

"Really?  Are you sure?"

There was a Slaanesh Daemon list that was a bit unpleasant, my fault entirely, the chap called up the night before and asked if we had space and I didn't have a chance to review his list before the Saturday  :endit:

Veldemere

Where did he finish with the slaneshi list list?

Special grats to Mike 3rd place!!  :1st:+2 were you using the woodies, can't really think of a SC who would make thet much difference (not Orion at least!)

Also great result for Mark! Proving again that he excells when filth is involved  :wink;m::

The daemon list was pretty filthy, though I did manage to beat him (though he then finished 2nd)

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

How about 2 hyrdas, level 4, level 2, bsb with hydra banner, dreadlord and asf black guard

noahtonkin

I had the delights of playing both the high elf players, who had big units of white lions with magical flaming attacks and banner of world dragon...
Right, so I can shoot... no that won't work, well maybe comb.. no, asf, no ward saves....At least I've rolled dwellers, Double 6! oh cock.

Had a thought afterwards and i reckon I shouldn't have actually tried to give them a game, but just gone and and picked on the smaller easier to manage units and picked up points.
Ah wel, live and learn!

I did indeed sir.  No special characters... and Warhawk Riders!!!  :cool3:.

Will post up a full report tomorrow, won all three games.

Chris Newland: Beastmen
Lance Gibson: Dwarven Gunline with Anvil (I believe he smashed Mark game 1).
Neil Sheen: Ogres with Skragg, Gorgers and 2 Scrap Launchers.  T3 Woodies do not like Scrap Launchers!
In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

Bad luck Noah, it's a bugger when some books have the ability to make such a tough unit, did you manage to kill many with the irresistable? But as you say, lesson learned try to avoid the block and bait them away with chaff (if you can) and get the points where you can, stands the chance of being a dull game though!

Sounds like you had a bit of a better draw Mike, 2 scraplaunchers? How did they work out as I have never particularly liked them?

I had great fun with my first time use of the Beastmen, so different from the Wood Elves.

Push all the monsters forward & charge,

Played Lee & his Gateway list for my first game with my 42 Gor not turning up & Lee ripping me apart with magic (21 dead Gor turn1) The poor old Beastmen where Massacred to a Beast.
Had a real smash up game against an O&G list with loads of combat & a massive body count
In the last game against Empire my 42 Gor (aided by Taurus) fought 30 Flagelants & 30 greatswords until everyone on both sides was dead (except my BSB & taurus of course).

My learning points wher that I should never take Lore of the wild & need some magic defence.

Great venue, very easy to get to & well sited for shops etc.
