If Timmy comp is done right, there's no reason for special characters to ruin the event. But it certainly does not make me optimistic when the rules pack disallows a weaker non-SC version of Teclis but says nothing about the big man himself...

Wallis doesnt have cheques... Wallis was going to give cash to them Tuesday.  Soooooo if anyone wants me to secure their place then gimme cash on Monday and i'll hand it over tuesday.

I'll check about SC's on Tuesday.

I'm up for this, Mike can you pay them and take it out of the money you owe me for the wood elf stuff.

Emailed the guy about Special Characters.

They're going to allow them. 

That said.  He did say the reason they're doing it is because they want themed armies... Throgg army etc.  He also said they've returned two lists already asking them to remove Teclis.  His exact words were 'dont worry Teclis wont be in attendance'.

Although generally against special characters, if the standard nasties (teclis/skull taker etc) are removed then they can add an element of theme.

I am now thinking of borrowing some beastmen & perhaps taking a special character for a change.

I played my first game with them at our club, used only items from the beastman book & even used lore of the wild, immense fun (lost of course).

Thinking about it, I guess I'm up for it. If only there were useful SCs in the woodie book, don't think a drycha army would be that fun for anyone!

just realised that that is my girlfriends birthday. so i'm definetly not coming now, special characters or not!
