Good to see we have a nice mix of armies in the Tale Of, so far, and none really top tier...All good

Yeah, tho I'm wondering if the way to win with woodies is to play smaller point games...

It's official. I hate basing and don't have time to spend gluing sand to a base, re gluing it later, painting it, and then trying to avoid it while I paint a model. It sucks!

1st 200 points.
10 archers, 6 scouts. (I know that's over, but I can't do painting parts of units!)

Glue it once with PVA, when it's dry wash it with a mix of water and PVA glue, then I Just paint with my base colour when basecoating the rest of the model and tidy it up at the end. I find it's pretty quick and the sand is relatviely secure.

That's what I have been doing. It's still a pain!

Oh, and I've realised I can't paint wood elves, dip and flick really doesn't work...

Undercoat the base the same time as the mini, the black paint then keeps it rock hard and does not matter what you get on it during the process.

At the end, drybrush and add flocks etc, simples

So my master plan of painting during the day while working nights failed...partly as I needed to sleep, and partly cos I rather foolishly got an xbox and spent time playing that...

So all change, and will have to try and dip my branchwraith and dryads before the deadline...when is that by the way?

I know, but if I can dip enough dryads, there's 10 archers who just need finishing off, plus have some time to paint in the coming month...
