Warmachine wounds are basically the crew these days... which doesn't really make it any clearer, as the spell is not meant to heal deal models. Possibly nay then!

You could also do it on a steam tank if im not mistaken...

Seems pretty clear to me - there's no reason at all why you can't.

Maybe 'common sense' suggests to some people that you shouldn't, but I'm not sure that helps with game rules.
