Woohoo, I'm so glad you liked the intro - you'll definitely get addicted to Hordes after playing a few bigger games. I certainly have! Perhaps aiming for a 25pt list is a good way to start, that's how I learnt the game.

Circle are really fun to play, don't listen to Stevo ;-) he just hates them for some reason!

There appear to be a lot of things Stevo hates for some reason!  :wink;m::

I'm sure I've been on that list at various times...! Probably on Tuesday, when I produced one of Jimbo's broken kiwi dice during his game and lent it to Stevo's opponent!

Haha, brilliant! I bet that made Stevo's night. However, I also hate Circle, all Stealthy and annoying like. Just stand there and get shot ffs!
There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

It certainly did not!!! At least I crushed my opponent so all was good in the end!

Noah, nice to see you playing Circle, they are good and Jack can give you plenty of tips, 25 is great to learn, but as the game is brutal there is always getting a couple of games in 1 night.

I would get Kromac soon and make Jack cry a little on the inside, wink.

Update 8!
The Sound of Silence....

Goooood afternoon ladies and Jellyspoons,

First of all my sincerest appologies for the slight hiatus in recent updates with regards to this fin (!?) blog.
I could bore you with excuses and say i've been spending my time elbow deep in dying people trying despirately to save their vague grasp on life, however 1. you probably wouldnt be interested, and 2. this simply isn't true.
In actual fact I'v spent my recent weeks frantically filling out paperwork because my collegues have forgotten to spend their time elbow deep lah blah blah, and as such a rather worryingly alrge number of people have had to be referred to the coroner's office (boo! no crem forms)

But I digress, as is the want of a good blog I'm sure.

Today's update comes to you from a very muddled mnd post night shifts,
however nights do have a benefit.
It's too far to drive home, so I comondeered one of the on call rooms, this means I have nothing to do with the 3-4 hours between waking up mid afternoon and starting work.
This all leads too....Hobby time!

So with my time booked off (except one day in the gym, not a good idea on 3 hours sleep...) I set about working on my stupid looking high elf army.

Step 1.

build baes.
I started with some sarissa mdf bases.
mnagnetised them, then set about drawing pretty paterns on them which I would later over lay with cork...
a short time later, I started sticking cork to them, job done!
here's a few pics of them.

This took me a lot longer than I thought and made one hell of a mess!

Step 2.
Attaching models to bases.

I started off with a nice shiney old school high elf bowman....

next stage was to chop off the ittle tab thing underneath, leaving a small spur to use as a pin...

then drilled a hole in the cork base (drilled or bored? am not really sure)

Next stage was nice and simple... superglue meet model and base....

Done!

Rinse and repeat 9 more times and 20 mins later we have a fullly ranked up unit on their own little peice of lava (well, it will be when painted.)

This process I then repeated with the other bowman unit,

the unit of seaguard (am still 4 short, so there are 4 spare bases at the back...) and attached mage.

Also the 3rd unit of dragon princes.

the 1st 2 units are already undercoated, so I am going to spray the bases before attaching them.

Here are some pretty pics of it all done...

I also rebased both dragons.
1 has only been sprayed black, so he got stuck to his base, the other has had the base built, but as I've already started painting him the sticking on wll again happen when the base is undercoated.

After seeing Lee's finely painted lava bases I got inspired.
On both dragon bases are 2 cunningly hidden little holes, whcih coincidentally fit a dice each, one for rider, one for mount...

And so, a week on nights later the army is (almost) fully based and ready for the painting pot. Worryingly I had actually planned on painting the seaguard this week, but the effort of basing really took it's tole, so that will get left for a later time...probably the week before south coast!

Toodle pip Chaps.
