Is it a Lightning attack ? can you use it to frenzy your own Dragon Ogres ?

I don't think you can use it to attack your own forces can you?

I don't think it really qualifies as a lightning attack, but it's possible, check the description. If it is, you still can't target your own Dragon Ogres, but if they absorb nearby lightning attacks, then you can cast it on nearby enemies to try and make them steal it to charge themselves up!

Why would it be a lightning attack? Does it actually say in the item description that it fires out a lightning bolt, or words to that effect? I can't remember. In any case, it's a bound magic missile, which you can't target your own models with. Also, Dissolute Dan's suggestion - DOs don't absorb nearby lightning strikes, only those on themselves. You may be thinking of Kholek, who redirects any lightning-based magic within 12" into himself. However, I also have a feeling the wording is 'enemy' lightning-based spells get sucked in. And he can fire out lightning each shooting phase which may well hit him anyway.

So all told, I don't think Banner of Wrath is really going to help with the 'making Dragon Ogres cross' plan, I'm afraid.
