and if someone could see fit to gateway his vampire lord in turn 1 that would be great.  I was ever so surprise when Ol came wandering over about 10 mins after I'd just started my game!  I'd barely had time to shoot a hydra dead.

SCGT comp did work, as long as the intent was to get as many duplicate armies all maxed out using roughly the same combos.  In that respect it leveled the field a lot.

For me there was no real difference between it and Mersey, but the armies I faced all seemed to take a step up.

Ol - as I explained at the pub, its a month before Tides and that's the reason we used that comp.

I've been getting a lot of stick about the comp in the pack....it was a choice between using this as a warm up event, or go no comp and save some of the hassle. I thought the more popular option would be to use this as practice for the 2 day July event.

Ol - for the "big event" we can all sit down and work out the best comp - saying that, by that time 8th ed will be here and might be a whole different story.

We have 15 entrants so far if you include paulitop now. 3 places left. Considering we have only been selling tickets for under a week, that's not bad going. If your thinking of coming, get in quick as the tickets are selling very quickly.
