Excellent comp going on from Sheffield slaughter, ie no toys, no dragons, no big deamons.....Just good old fashioned CC...

Far too many good tournaments this year, tried to resist but bought a ticket anyway.

I think the comp is a bit harsh on Brets & a bit lenient on WE (spent ages trying to work out how to get 40 ranked in before noticing I was exempt)

Still I will be giving this style of comped event a priority this year.

I'm in as well, they are tweaking the comp pack slightly so Brets are losing the requirement for 40, only going to be 20 I think.  I think it's right that them and WE are exempt as neither army is styled that way, where as all the others just choose to go down other routes out of filthiness.

I started to look at a nice fluffy dwarf list but I'm really struggling to fit everything I want into the points and not lose all my effective stuff from the list.  I tried a combat army at sheffield and got stuffed for my efforts so not overly keen to go there again even if the comp is meant to be as harsh.  Thing is without my big guns there is nothing I can do against the likes of the furnace.  It moves faster and hits harder than any troops I could bring to bear.  So I've got to have a cannon/stone thrower or bolt throwers to threaten it.

List I'm considering will have:

Anvil
Bsb - Strollaz (so start on the half way line with a magic movement to come, Woot!
Stone thrower - Cheapest D6 wounds item I have for threatening big stuff
Organ gun
Blocks of infantry
Sod all the other shooters, they don't do owt
2 blocks of warriors with my free command for optimal core choice!
