Bearing in mind me and Ritchie are taking double DoC to the GT doubles, I am considering taking the army to SCGT the wknd after..

Not alot of experience with them so I would like some ideas on list construction and tactica ..

Bearing in Mind BT's are out of the window, I fancy taking Papa Nurgle and Pals...

The only thing I am concrete on is taking a Khorne Herald on a Jugger and some flesh hounds to go with him..

But many questions, apart from flamers what is a good rare to take (if any)

Who should be the bsb ?

What size of core units should I take?

Any ideas or opinions welcome (I know it's filth so no need for that abuse... :cool3:)

According to the internet, daemons require no tactics or army lists thought at all. Just turn up and you win.

Corrected for you mate, at the 'comped' events, even DoC require some knowledge as seen by the number of newer players at the bottom tables with DoC filth..

The DE however have an answer to everything and so long as your hands can cope will rolling all those dice to shoot over X games, you will be fine....

I have very little experience with DoC but would like to see how I do with them...

Ol, every option is good and some are more optimised.

generally WAAC players have min sized horrors for core and funky Fleshies and flamers to back them up.

Ol, you keep forgetting that DEs have psychology and they do run away, well mine do.  Ans your vampires did ace against them at Sheffield i remember.

The khorne herald is a good place for the BSB.

fatolaf

Sundering BsB on the Herald I am thinking, with the 0 As and the firetsorm blade,

run this boy in a unit of 5 , maybe 6 Fleshhounds...

10 Horrors for sure, should I bother with the either of the banners they can take?

What is best build for Papa  Nurgle?

In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

You've got a couple of options for GUO, you could do 2 out of Nurgling Infestation / Trappings / Staff of Nurgle, or Balesword and either the breath attack or Noxious Vapours (Which is such a dirty combo that I suggested chris add it to the banned list at watford, and I think he did). Basically top up its magic level to the max magic cap depending on the rest of your army. Nurgle and Khorne is a nice combo, almost fluffy, don't bother with Flamers and Horrors, you can have a nice "themed" Daemon army this way (That my Slaanesh and Tzeentch lot can fight against)!

Was weird with this new Daemon player I was up against at Watford, I completely murdered him, but he got 29 points off the next 2 opponents he faced, guess he was quite good after all... although one of them was the orc army ;)

Dave

Are you going to go for the fat dude and the poop nurglings?  I think that army will really frustrate you.  I think you want to go for something with a lot of speed and flexibility.

Chunk 1
Kipper
Slanneshi chariot character
daemonettes
Seekers
Fiends

Chunk 2
Palanquin
Plaguebearers
Beasts of Nurgle

Chunk 3
Khorne herald
Bloodletters
Fleshhounds

Think that would be all your points (if not more than) and it's not

1. Magic spam
2. Fleshhound spam
3. Thirster splat
4. Changer magic blat which is currently becoming the prefered option.

It would fit with the true core and I think would actually be a decent balanced and fun list.  It may suffer from magic howerver, so not sure how you cope with that? Also don't know what comp restrictions would do to it.  And best of all it's not Ghey.

fatolaf

I'm going to avoid any Nettes and Siren song / seekers and also avoid the nurgling poop, too much like zombie spam for me..

I have written a basic list that fits the comp, I will post it up when I am home..

But it maxed out on magic, with Papa a lvl 4, a nurgle herald with the staff and some horrors giving me a potential 3 rancid visitations a turn (bloody orrible spell)...
Then a Khorne herald BSB with sundering banner, 6 fleshounds, 6 flamers with pyrocaster, 16 plaguebearers, 3 nurglings and 10 letters, bit of everything whilst still following the true core rule.

And then one fiend and some furies to top it off, basically that is it so far, thoughts?

Marauder Mitch

Ol mate, sounds ace and fits the comp.  As the old saying goes, can't beat them join them.

I am a big fan of the baleflail puke on the GUO, gives stegs a bad day.  It can also beat a BT
