Personally im going to stick with the line that says you roll once for the strength of all the bolts.  Cause I think thats pretty specific.

So is the line that says 'roll for each bolt separately' hence the general confusion...

I will email them as Eric says and see what happens (I suspect nothing!)

QuoteQ. Are the dice used to ring the Screaming Bell
power dice? If so, are they taken from the pool,
from the Grey Seer's, or neither?
A. The dice rolled for the Screaming Bell are not
power dice, but, as at least one of its effects can act
as spells, it is still best to roll the Bell's powers
before casting spells.

and yet they answer questions like this............. :endit:

not really... the roll for each bolt separately is given in the context that you can destroy a unit with the 1st bolt so you roll them one at time incase you wipe one out (it specifically states that too).

If you sat next to a bloodthirster, rolled str 10 then rolled all three dice at once... caused 3 wounds...  which multiplied to 18 wounds (3x 6's) then the line that states 'if you destroy a unit move onto the next closest' would be a bit redundant...

Lets agree to disagree on this one again and move on.....

as much fun as it is winding you up.

I wish it did specifically say that, then I would be 100% on your side..

If it said make each roll to wound seperately then it would be clear, as it is , it's not, hence the confusion....

But as you say, lets leave it and personally now I would have thought that if GW do sort it they will make it one roll, as the bloody thing is so powerful as it is already...(charging behind, what next!!!!) one extra thing wont matter..

Bugger, you now have to take loads of packmasters in your giant rat units because the unit loses their strength in numbers bonus if they die! My little 50ish point units with 1 packmaster and 2 ranks is poo as hes just going to get shot!

Doomwheels are now beyond horrendous...
