I got that email and voted for 8th edition too, it seems pointless to be playing 7th edition in September. If it is 7th then I might not go as well.

I think Ol has our votes seeing as he bought the tickets. I don't mind which we play though personally.

I don't see the point of playing 7th in Sept, i know there is a transition period but i expect by end of august all events will be 8th for better or worse.

But i don't mind.  Ol the choice is yours.

I responded saying 8th but will play regardless.  It was my first ever event and it's the easiest one of the year for me to get to so I want to support it no matter what!

No way do I want to play 7th, bit tight of them for considering this as hotels/trains have been paid for..

Some one has to pick up the 8th FAQ problems and just make their own rulings till GW sorts them..

I did not get an email, but I bought all the tickets for the OG Games contingent and that was about 8 of us, we all vote for 8th Ed please, otherwise I know most of us won't attend, which is a real shame as I loved the event last year.
I for one will be glad to see the back of 7th Ed and I do not want to waste one more £ going to tournies just to watch De win everything.

If the rumoured FAQ's for the older books come out on release of 8th, your jobs will be made a lot easier, otherwise you just need to make certain rulings for your tournie and players will have to stick by them.

I have had 8th for over a week and a half now and have played several games, I forsee very few problems (apart from a few of the oldest books) in changing your comp to suit...

Definately 8th for me... will have played tons of it by then so going back to 7th would seem pretty odd!!!

Well I didn't actually vote for 8th, I abstained, bit of a difference there...

Think it should probably be 8th with a token 7th edition send-off side-event for those who can't or don't want to field 8th edition armies. I'd play 8th though.

Sounds like that's what Ant is offering.  8th at 2400 pts and for those that want it a 7th ed side competition.
