I actually found them all being the same was a benefit. Didn't have to worry about finding all the pouches etc on each different model!

Think I have another 40 of these guys still to paint up but want to get the savages done first.

That I suppose is true, I just remember painting all my rank and file metal Dwarfs way back when and thinking oh god not this pose again!

QuoteI really like the skin tone. It works nicely with the purple.
Skin has always been the same formula, the purple was something I just added as a really small highlight colour, I'm amazed by how much it shows up on the picture.

Random model I decided to go back and paint up, treeman no 3 for the woodelves.

Sprayed it brown last night a couple of drybrushes, a wash of the new camoshade thingmy wash (hint of green but mostly brown) and then picked out the green/orange/grey highlights for the foliage/mushrooms/bare wood without bark.

based up in the same style as my other woodies.

Always amazed how you just seem to pick up a model with five spare minutes and do something amazing!

The Trampoline

I always liked the fact that model has a sugar puff stuck in the pit of his elbow.

2 hours would be more accurate but woodies are super simple, get the browns right and you don't really need to do anything with it.

I must just be slow, would take me two hours to get the browns out of the painting tub!!!

And now 20 savage orcs, unit will probably expand to 40, gonna mix in some of the new plastics as sizewise they look like an ok fit.

This lot also came from Jal, other than a few characters I think that's me now done pretty much everything I'm likely to paint from the stuff I'd bought so cheers again!
