Oh I know it!  If it comes to the worst I drop waywatchers for wardancers and warhawks which I have painted and have some substitutes I can use for characters.   Just hope I can get some balsa wood for my movement trays otherwise gonna look rubbish.

So that's the fabric and wood basecoated on all 20 waywatchers, just need to get the flesh done and then base up 40 odd figures and I'll be done.  Fingers crossed they'll be there for Tempest.

Been trying to score cheap warhawks off ebay but they are selling for more than retail price! It seems people are cretins, so there will be another order coming your way Ol, though I don't suppose you have access to the gamezone eagle riders by any chance, as would take a couple of them too if you do.

Wasn't Sheffield last weekend?

So last night was spent basing figures.  Got all remaining models sanded and that got painted this morning.  Now just need to flock them.

Waywatchers still requires about 6 of them having their flesh done but after that it is all complete to a basic gaming standard and will be subject to multiple coats of varnish (gloss & matt) to prepare it for use and then further painting to improve the standard will follow at some stage in the future (hopefully!).

Dave

A weekend of partying has resulted in minor progress but thankfully that was all that was needed!  I've now got all my movement trays built, painted, sanded and flocked.  In addition to this finished off the last of the waywatchers to an acceptable level.

Final step being to varnish all my figures which given it's tipping it down with sleet/rain at the moment might be a difficult task.  Thankfully I've got my heated cellar so will be taking place in that!

Only one requirement remaining and that's my free wood.  I've got a load of trees so I just need to get them all stuck onto a base and then painted up.  Shouldn't take too long but getting punted down to Lhandan again tomorrow so lose another day in which to do it.  Might be getting done in the car on the way down at this rate!

I'll try and take pictures of everything tonight so I actually update thie blog in a meaningful manner.

Ok, having been through this marathon session of updates without giving you any pictures I'm now proud to announce, dah da dah my 2011 WE army as to be featured in a tournament near you (if you're going to tempest rising that is).

Start off with the worst by a long way, these guys will become the command group for the scarlocks archer unit when complete as I've some alternative figs to fill in for the characters but I've not gotten round to painting them yet.  As such they're a shoddy substitute (also the worst painted figs in the army as basically not finished).

And that's the army which will be showing up at Tempest (actually there are 5 more scouts but they're just identical to the glade guard and I forgot to take a photo!).

Lovely models, even your own dubbed "worst" look great! Particuarly like the horses on the Wild Riders lovely blending.
