Finished off my wyvern and model to represent the lord on foot.

Forgot to say this is one of the models from Jal.  It got the detol stripper treatment as think it had been dipped and was a bit too much paint to just paint on the top of what was there.

Yeah, got it from ebay for £4.50 so I didn't complain - had plans to strip and repaint to gaming standard but went Dark Elves instead. Clearing out my old room at some point over the next couple of weeks, if i find more Goblins etc, do you want me to post them up? Think i still have your address

Wow, nice bargain given how much they cost these days.  Also the added bonus of not melting in sunlight!

Think I'm pretty much maxed out on the gobbos as I picked up a load more I've still not painted yet and none of them seem to make it into my current army lists, that said I'll probably try dropping the savage orc block at some stage and running other units, but probably better off just flogging them elsewhere.  Only things which would interest me is wolf ridres/squig things, but squigs are worth a fortune so again you're better selling them.

My eyes have now started to turn to my next project.  It's a tough decision though, I'm kinda tempted by DE myself but I did just pull a load of brets out and started gluing them together as think they'd be a bit of fun as a real change of direction from the muted tones of the O&G.

Love those 'Daydreams' would make very good alternative Squigs or Pink Horrors me thinks...

Amazing work as per usual buddy

Wyvern looks great mate, particularly love the axe!

Procrastination by Numbers - Update 146:

I'm painting classic Dwarfs!! PbN Update 146

Dave

Ol, the daydreams are pretty tiny maybe 15mm tall so a bit on the small side for wfb maybe, plus still pretty pricey at £3 a pop if you pay full price (I didn't as was a second hand purchase!).

Wyvern was a load of fun to paint, anything I get to airbrush is always a winner and the rider was a nice model too.

Slacking last night, only got 1 figure finished.

Not done much painting this weekend but did spend some time cutting lots of models off sprues.  I now have all my DE stuff in little boxes rather than sprues (bought as part of the big OG firesale just before Christmas last year) and also a bunch of Brets stuff that I've picked up from various places over the last few years.

Painting wise I've sprayed 3 brets bright yellow and done some work on one horsie.

The DE I have in a box
1 Sourceress
20 xbows
30 spearmen
10-15 unbuilt spear/xbows
30 Corsairs (bought build with AHW unfortunately so no handbows)
5 Dark Riders
Bits for another 8ish dark riders
12 shades
10 Mhengils Manflayers
20 Cold One knights
1 Cold one Chariot
1 Hydra
4 Bolt Throwers

No pics of the DE stuff yet though I think I've come up with my paint scheme, just need to work out some basing to go with that.  My first effort I'm not sold on yet, think I might use it with the Bretonnians instead as reckon it will suit them better.

What I want to do with the DE is build a full army and have it all built and ready to paint so can then churn the maximum number of models without any distractions.  Already worked out how I can get the xbows/spearman scheme down to the shortest possible time.  Safe to say I'm loving the new GW paint range as it's exclusively using them because they make it so simple.

Dave, just be warned Corsairs take some time - I can easily knock out Spearmen and Crossbows by the boatload, but the bloody Corsairs take ages.

On the other hand - Blackguard are a joy to paint if you're planning on doing any - more than most, I really enjoyed painting them (and I hate painting really, seeing it as a necessary evil needed for me to get my smash on).

Did you get the metal Hydra or Finecast?

Oh, and chances are you'll want a Peg of some description! - The Moratih one is ok, but needs alot of filing/green stuff if you want to mount someone else on it - it takes a while

Dave

Just bought myself the morathi model to see what it looks like but also got a few conversions in mind, just need to check out a few bits for how they compare sizewise.

Having looked at the corsair models I can see why they're a bit trickier, think I'll still work out how to batch paint them as I've a fair bit of practice at doing so now.

Hydra is metal but I've also got the reaper bones range through kickstarter which has a rather tasty hydra model as an option to add on so I'll probably swap that in once it comes (November if memory serves).  As most of this was picked up as a second hand trade it was a case of beggars can't be choosers.

Blackguard will get added at some stage I'm likely to go for the option of combining Phoenix guard with some corsair bits though as now the finecast blackguard are £20+ for 5 models it makes the phoenix guard a far cheaper alternative.

Also want another couple of chariots too and will be turning a bunch more glade rider figs into more dark riders to get me up to around 18 of them.

Mould lines removed from 30 spearmen and now mostly built, need to clean up another unit of shades next, then I might even consider painting something!
