And next addition, 8 more orcs to add to my savage orc unit.  These are actually just regualar orc boys but painted in the same colours as my savages and done with stone weapons to try and fit in, didn't fancy paying £20 for another box when had spare orcs kicking about.  Not the most savage looking but mixed through a unit should look fine.

Nice stuff dude, really like your Orc colour scheme. I may have to stop looking at this blog, as it keeps tempting me to go green myself.

Don't stop, you're the only person that posts regularly!  Glad you're liking the orcs, I'm feeling pretty happy with them and it's starting to come together as an army now, not that many more infantry models required so just cool stuff left to do.

Latest addition is Ryle, he's basically a cyborg with a massive gun and powerfist!

Jal

Dave, I have one of the wierd tent/idol things if you want a unit filler? Can post over to you

Dave

Thanks for the offer but no need, I've loads of bits kicking around and I generally don't use unit fillers as it takes away from the satisfaction of peeling off every single model so they've got to be laboriously ranked back up afterwards!

Pretty sure those orcs were some of the ones I got from you, so all still going to good uses

Dave

Ok, next addition another malifaux model, it's a third guild guard but this one is a laydee.

And then to follow on from that I've finally been suckered in by Warmachine/Hordes.  Due to massive popularity down my local club I decided I'd pick up a force and give it a shot, extensive research lead me to the Mercs faction (apparently underpowered in the game but meh) I quite liked the models and the variety.

So far picked up and built 2 jacks.

Multipart Kit

Which  can be made up as 3 different options:
Rover

Mule

Nomad

Metal Nomad

As you can see the metal model has a far cooler default pose than the plastic, you could probably make the plastic kit do the same but not whilst maintaining the flexibilty of the 3 options.  Also the sword is bigger and cooler looking!

I decided these were perfect airbrush fodder

And then picked out some metals

Some more work on the boilers, a bit of shading and a few more highlights (that aren't really showing through in this picture)

Think I might just stick to the 1 colour plus metals and really go to town on the shading and hilghlights, so will take these even further. Other option is to dirty them up now and go for the whole battle damaged look.

I really do like all the malifaux guild stuff you've done
Charge.  Flee.  Your Turn.

Thanks, I really like the models and find them very easy to paint, so it's always a pleasure to work on them.  I think it's because they are so uncluttered you're able to focus on painting the details that matter and nothing else takes up time on the model.

Also I think I struck upon a colour scheme that's pretty easy to paint but is visually quite eye catching which is always a bonus!

Those warjacks look amazing dude... I'm very impressed!
In the style of Tom Hale... F*ck Ushabti!!!

Dave

Ta steve, not quite done with them yet, need to shade the recesses down further to give better contrast.

Finally got round to finishing off the base of my 6th troll, which has been sat on the painting table for ages, this morning.
