Grats mate! Now i guess the great question is: Does this mean youll have more or less time to paint?
There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

Wow! I feel strangely prophetic!

Had to go digging back through 'Procrastination by numbers to find this one.

Apologies for that, always a torturous experience!

Congratulations on proving you are definitely not gay!

Great news, maybe your painting plog can now be about what colour you are going to paint the nursery....

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

I'm working off second hand models (ebay for mucho cheapness),so whilst it's 'painted' in the starting pic none of the original paint remains on the finished model.

Quite happy with how the skull pass gobbos came out, then set them aside for a while to basically have a month off painting whilst did some real life stuff and play lots of tournaments.  Now finally getting back to them and to get myself inspired I decided to do something a bit fun first.  So I cleaned the mould lines off 80 night gobbo that were in various stages of being painted but none had the lines removed first (typical 2nd hand cheapo figs).

That got me a bit bored so I dug out something slightly better to start with in the form of a doom diver picked up in a bit of a state, so I'd ripped it apart and removed all the excess glue and mould lines then just stuck it back together again.  Fortunately the paint on it was actually quite thin so I didn't feel the need to strip it.

And my finish point:

Again happy with how my scheme came out, was pretty quick to paint and I think looks nice for the level of effort.  Of course having just listened to the latest heelanhammer episode I'm singled out as someone that just churns out armies as a basecoat & dip merchant, slightly hurtful given the fact my armies usually look better than the majority of those at tournaments, but agree that obviously no effort for those 'best painted' awards.  What I have always said I'd do is get to the point where I can put any army of my choice on the table at an event and then I'll sit down and set about improving what I've got.  Only being 32 I reckon I can achieve this quite comfortably before my eyesight goes so will have plenty of time to improve the standard of these armies at my leisure.

I heard that on heelanhammer this morning dude and I thought that was way off... I think you've come up with some awesome stuff here (I think both your tk's and Skaven look great)

Don't get upset by people making sweeping generalisations to make themselves feel better about life!

Keep up the great work!
In the style of Tom Hale... F*ck Ushabti!!!

Dan (and Russ) is a painting snob, guess Wayne is as well. It's bad that they pretty much gloss over Bryan Carmichael who just base-coats and dips his armies, and then are dismissive of other people who don't paint to the standard they do.

I wouldn't care what Heelanhammer says, its quite a hypocritical show.

I'm incredibly jealous of the fact that not only can you paint so much so quickly, but it looks pretty good as well. I've been base coating red on about 20 halberdier uniforms and its taken me all blooming day! Still got all teh details to do as well then bases!

Don't think it was meant as a dig, to an extent he was including his VC in the same breath and they look decent too, I guess just more a comment on 'not doing the best I possibly could' with the armies.  Which is true enough, but I wasn't about to do what he's been doing and spend vast amounts of time on rank and file rats when I knew I had ~280 models to paint for the army, plus I could take mine to the ETC, I'm guessing his won't make it!

Anyway onto funner things in addition to the O&G I've also been playing about with some Dark Elves and some Empire.  Think I'll probably end up building all three armies in tandem, though the Orcs&Gobbos are the most appealing right now.  I've got 30 savage orcs, 20 old metals and 10 new plastic which need assembling then I've got to come up with a paint scheme for them.  I'm thinking of a more blue/grey skin colour rather than the more traditional green to give a bigger contrast between them and the gobbos as I think of them as two quite distinct races just with a master/slave living arrangement between the two cultures.

That and the 80 odd night gobbos should to cover off the core requirements, though I guess I want some HW&S gobbos too to do the whole netter & HW/S thing with (I lost a unit of saurus to these in a tournament at the weekend, I was shocked (and had awful dice).

Then I guess I need to look at the book after than and see what I like the look of squig hoppers and herds but pretty pricey to get a decent number of them.

If you did Empire Dave would colours would you use, always interested in what uniforms schemes people pick for their Empire.
