Excellent feel again mate, and it's shaping up to be a tasty looking army. Out of interest, what's your recipe for the blue?

The blue is a rather secret recipie of mine.  Hawk Turquoise, On some guys it's had dip on it, on the casket guys a wash of green ink.  That's all it is!

This weeks fun was finishing off my lizards.  I painted up 2 salamanders, 12 chameleon skinks and did most of the work on the crew for the salies before running out of time.  I've still got 3 krox and 2 scar vets to do for the army proper but as I have a unit of saurus cav and the krox which I already require I'm thinking I'll run these guys for the Crucible event taking place in Edinburgh this weekend.



Will try and get some better pics and post up my pure filth list in the army section. (it's uncomped 8th at 2000pts, prime for lizard abuse).  Death slann magic phase with know all the lore and rumination, cupped hands all that ridiculous stuff.

Looking good Dave, I've put mine on hold for the time being as I'm painting Dark Elves for Winnersh and Cardiff and also Empire (they're taken hold of me 50 man units of halberdiers for the win!)

Massively underwhelmed by Nagash as the Heiro-Titan, its such a poor model I wouldn't even consider it, I also think he looks out of place compared to the new models. Sorry for the negative there

That's cool, I did it purely because I had the model in my house and wasn't about to drop any cash or convert anything up for him.  So very much a 'get me by' solution.  It's a pretty trash model but wasn't ever going to find a use for it otherwise.

Forgot to mention the crew on the sphinx (what is the plural?) are magnetised on as are the snake riders in order to transport more easily.  For those that haven't examined the snake models they have some round glyph details at the top of the hood which are the exact same size as an OG magnet so a quick application of the drill and some glue gave me a great solid point on which to magnetise my guys.  Because the army is just being done on the quick I just slapped a magnet on the bottom of his foot rather than messing about trying to countersink it at all.

Nicely done Dave, glad to see you avoided the standard gold armour approach on the TK beasties, mine will be similar to yours but much more rusty as they have an awful time of it in the northern wastes...

Back from my weeks holiday I spent some time Saturday night/Sunday morning knocking these together.



Just need to paint another 25 archers and 3 characters and I'm done, happy days!
