it is a core unit (and so poor, that it doesn't even count toward the minimum) but I agree on the 20-25mm base thing.

a marauder it is.

I agree with what Ritchie's said, it should really be one of the 'weedy' core infantry (goblins, gnoblars, human infantry, marauders, basic ratties etc.)

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

It's all about the guys you never see in armies you mean!

It's core, it's rubbish and it's never worth its points, photos here please!  :wink;m::

I prefer to think of them as the troops we all wish we saw on the table opposite us, the troops Sheffield tried to encourage, the sort of troops that, fluff wise, should make up 2 thirds of every army. Halberdiers, clanrats / slaves, dwarf warriors, imperial guardsman, ork boy, basic marine, skeles/ zombies, saurus even dark elf spearmen (the kind without the dagger in their backs!).

But mostly it is a bit of fun and a chance to revisit the models that are so frequently overlooked for their flashy bretheren.
Ogres 15-11-18
Dwarves 11-1-5
Space Marines 1-1-0

Agreed. I would run a Green Tide list if I didn't have a 2 hour time limit in tournaments/game nights. Takes that bloody long just to get all the ladz out.

Sheffield tried but it didn't really work that well, most people took the bare minimum they could get away with and predominantly through taking the good elite infantry.  Obviously exceptions to this such as the skaven who poured out tonnes of crap rats and undead ghouls.

Even I did it, despite taking 5 blocks of dwarfs they were - 20 warriors, 20 Longbeards , 18 hammerers, 20 Iron breakers and 15 slayers.

So only one block of the proper basic warriors, to be honest I wish I'd just taken a load more warriors, I'd have had even more fun that way.

I might have a go at this :-)
I have a chaos warrior on the table right now.I assume that'll be ok.
