Does that stack then, ie 2 damels equals MR2..

Thinking about my casket...

And i thought you were all about the fun.... trying to figure out how to beat your 1st round opponent already!... for shame!  :spank:

On a side note... at least you're almost guarenteed 1st turn what with the praying and all.

MR doesn't stack just use the best available, there were some funny rulings on MR in the last FAQ about targeting a unit with spells etc, wouldn't be surprised if the basket was affected by this

I wonder what the ruling is on this as it does not actually target any one unit, it affects all units that can draw LOS...

Chris as TO, what's your ruling sir?

Mike

does the TK FAQ not cover it......

QuoteQ. What happens if an enemy unit with Magic
Resistance is in line of sight of the Casket when its
incantation is released? Do you really add the Magic
Resistance dice to the dispel roll (and very easily screw
up the incantation)? More generally, if one of the
targets for the Casket has a special ability against
spells (Magic Resistance, rebound, dice stealing,
casting score reducing...), does it apply to the whole
Casket's spell effect?
A. Magic Resistance does work against the Casket's
Light of Death, so long as the model/unit with Magic
Resistance would be affected. Where there is more than
one unit with Magic Resistance that will be affected,
only one model/unit can add their extra dice (usually
the highest). In all other respects, the Light of Death
counts as magic that affects any enemy unit that can see
the Casket, so other effects would also work as they
would against any other magic. Having said that,
however, a magic item that 'rebounds' spells isn't going
to have any effect – the Light of Death only ever affects
enemies.

Actually that FAQ was superceded by the erratta in the main rulebook last year, which removed the line about units being "affected", which the old TK FAQ answer relies upon. Now, you only get to use MR if you directly target something. Pretty much every tournament since the update has played that you don't get MR for use with the Casket of Souls- but yeah it's not 100% clear as there are two contradictory FAQs so just get Chris to make a ruling and stick with it!
