Right having severe trouble finding any train tickets for this, cheapest so far seems to be over £200...

This is going to Durham, going to check prices to Newcastle (then taxi to durham, only 15 miles away) or maybe even flying....

Flying is a no go, flights are around £180 per person EACH WAY!

This is looking grim, can anyone else see what they can find?

Right I have spoken to the train guys and we are basically too early, 3 months in advance for the cheap tickets...

So I will look again in April..

your also looking at the wrong flights mate... Im guessing those prices were for British Airways.

Gatwick to Newcastle flights with Flybe are currently:

Friday 20.05pm = 19.84 each

Newcastle to gatwick = 4.84

of course thats before they start adding the arse kissing charge.

oh and easyjet from stanstead is about 30 quid each wey before tax.

So the Flybe works out about 75 quid after taxes / charges for a return

Easyjet is more.. but better times.

Train would be better... but its not all doom and gloom!

I was looking at Flybe, dont what happened there...

I was just being too early, we'll get £5 first class tickets baby in april...
