Like to again apologise for my mix up between Tom and Jack as far as their lists goes. Tom was the one that had actually stated that his list was "40k dark elves", not Jack. Got muddled when I saw the draw. No offense intended to Jack - I know he's a good player, and hopefully might still end up playing against him in the later rounds.

I think Julien is going to have a good match vs Reece. He's a good player and does well with those HE's of his.

Steve, what on earth is in your empire army then if you can't out shoot them? You bringing Stank?

It seems that everyone is fairly happy with their new draw.

Simran: How do you feel about your new draw? Bit different from the Lizards.

I am non plus about my draw. Havent played new Skaven yet so will see. And first time I am bringing the StarChicken to an event other than the GW GT.

Its pretty standard fair really... I should do ok, but due to lack of painting time i've had to take some Handgunners where ideally i'd like to have more Crossbows. If he's not going to come at me that may pose a problem! May have to go into points denial mode pretty early!

Yep, the Tank is in... me and Jack H are practicing with our lists at Clapham on Thursday if anyone fancies any recon! 

I'm looking forward to Julien getting some nasty daemons at some point... not sure he fancies them if his behaviour on Monday night was to be believed!

Grant, you have nothing to apologise for, so don't worry about it. Just thought I would clarify which DE player was which and Jack's army is still hideously bent: he is using DEs!!!

I reckon Julien to beat Reece 14-6/16-4. Reece is a good player but I think the match up armywise isn't the best.

Chris Nobbs to cane Ogre Tom 20-0. I should see Mr. Payne tomorrow for a warmup game and I fully intend to scare him with tales of Chris's victories.

Rich Fitz to pull a 10-10 out of the bag vs Ol, despite the SSC scaring the hell out of his Treeman.

Steve H to get a draw vs DE Tom. I have managed it with HEs (non Dragon) so it should be easy for you given Tank + Altar.

Jack to win 12-8 or better vs the LoC Daemons. He is quite good vs Daemons normally.

The mega matchup of my VC vs Tom's Beasts: I expect to take all Tom's figures and to end up with more models on the table than I started off with! Or I double 1 my Vamp Lord. It will be 1 or the other!!

Just re-read the comp (out of fear!) and with the shooting restrictions i'm not sure that the shooty side of Dark Elf lists can be that bad afterall... with repeater xbows counting as 2 shots and Bolt Throwers as 3 the 60 shot limit is quite restrictive.

Looks manageable on paper... sure i'll be proved wrong though!

I havn't really seen enough of you guys playing yet to make any predictions, but i do think that Tom might have a rough time aganst Sim's VC!

Don't worry Tom, just keep those chariots away from anything that looks like a Bloodknight! :)

I agree with most the predictions. However 60 shots a turn is still a lot of shots when 32 can come from shades. Also, assassin with stars doesn't count towards the total, and neither do the handbows. Means you can still get 100+ shots off a turn with a little bit of clever list writing.

If you have a lot of DD you should be able to handle the vamps.

Just get into combat as quickly as possible and see what happens.
