So I have besically done a load of OG coupons, giving people £1 off there first order, We'll just give them to everyone there..

Ended up on 33 points, 17-3 win against Warriors, 4-16 loss to warriors and a 12-8 win against Skaven, but a good day.

I had a mare (game wise), fought CC WoC first game, his lord on dragon vs my lord in big CR unit, the WK fluffed his chance to KB the lord (on a 5+) and then the VC lord bit the dust turn 3... -p

The army then crumbled, lost 20-0

Got to 2nd bottom table only to be pitched against DoC  :moody;3: and a BT to top it off..
However I managed to get into some good CC's with my zombies even holding and killing some letters..
The Thirster did not do much and only got into CC in turn 6, however some bad rolling meant I lost expensive units in the last 2 turns and lost 15-5

Same table and I got DE with Hotek, no magic, no assassin, 2 big units of COK and only 2 magic attacks in the army  :thumbsup:

Hosts killed the Hydra, Wraiths one CoK unit (depsite 24 attacks of fluffage), magic killed the shades and Henry killed Dark Riders and a master....
The Lord fought the Drealord unit with Hydra banner, which got a bit scary at one point, but in the end 20-0 to me..
47th out of 70, not great but it was down to luck not bad tactics, so I was happy..

Business was good though.. :moonwalker:

Cyberactivity

Yeah, third place. Pipped to 2nd place on VP's by my second round opponent (who I drew against).

First game: Dark Elves (Table 22) 20-0 win (this was Ol's opponent game 3)

He had 2 big CoK units, no magic. Kept moving back and blasting the units with magic and flamers. Final last ditch effort from the Lord to hurt my GUO saw him charge in (forgetting Miasma was active) to have the GUO hit him 4 times, rolled a 6 for pendent, and went splat. End of turn 5 he had no toys on the table, and had taken off half the unit of PB's and half the unit of horrors. Max points.

Second game: BoC (table 2) 10-10 draw.

Didn't start well with rolling bad spells, and him managing to get a movement spell off to charge the HoTz and kill him.

Highlights: Flesh hounds and HoK went into Doombull and Ogre unit and started to grind. GUO went to protect a flank from Giant charge. 2 chariots charged the other flank of the flesh hounds, and the giant charged the GUO. Chariots wiped out the flesh hounds and HoK (who had taken half wounds off the Doombull), and overran into the GUO (1 chariot had 1 wound left). Impact hits saw 3 unsaved wounds. GUO then split attacks, 2 on the full health chariot, 2 on the giant. All attacks hits. Chariot auto destroyed. Giant took 6 wounds and died. Other chariot fled through the Doombull/Ogre unit killing 1. GUO persued stright into combat with the Doombull, who he killed and then ran down both the ogres and the chariot!

At the end of the game all that was left was the GUO and 10 PB's vs 2 beast herds, 2 level 2's, and 2 units of 5 dogs. 108pts difference (due to him holding 2 extra quaters). Very very close game.

3rd Game: DoC (table 4) 20-0

This was over pretty quickly. Bloodletter blocks moved forward. 1 got obliterated by Rancid. BT moves to charge. Bloodcrushers lose some wounds to flamers. Turn 2 BT, crushers, and 4 remaining BL's charge the GUO. GUO challenges, and causes max 6 CR in a challenge with the BC champ. My turn I flank charge the BT with PB's. Champ challenges the BT out. GUO kills the 2 remaing crushers. BT evens it up. Drawn combat. Next round I get challenged by the BL champ. BT kills some PB's, I kill the champ. I win, but no extra damage. My turn. I get Miasma off (he's in contact with all the enemies!). I beat the rest on static. Everything of his pop. He called it there. No VP's lost from me. Max points again. 

Results came in that Jack had destoyed his opponent on table 2. All I needed was a draw or minor win on table 1 in order to get podium. Table 1 finished 11-9 which took them both out of the top 3.

got first game on table 2! only way was down really. i had some very moderate expectations and aims for the day;

1: don't get tabled or massacered
2: win one game
3: try and not come bottom of fellow club (OG Games) members

first game vs Vampires  -p (lizzie player i was due didn't so so i got stand in), despite being beasts i was very confident as i had a solid magic phase and knew exactly what i needed to do against vampires. long story short turn 3 i put in a perfect set of charges (no failed fear, great match up against small undead units i could blitz in one round), and though i was on for a 20-0.....then i had a disasterous magic phase, two mistcasts that allowed gave the vc player 2 free spells. two summon zombie hordes later the undead units were far too big for me to deal with, so i bounced and got ground off for a 19-1 loss as i couldn't roll 3s to hit skellies fast enough. so gutted as i can genuenly say that i did nothing wrong in tactical play but the dice took a massive dump on me and after that i was into damage limitation mode.

game two, fell a might 28 tables down to 30 and got internet 'legend' Fritz with a very interesting wood elf army.
very quick tactical game, mostly based on move and countermove (or more accuratly me chacing fast cav round the board and running away from big scary treeman!), not much contact, hail of BOOM! arrow took out the giant in one go turn one so had to push hard, got very lucky to blend both dryad units, after much effort trapped and killed one unit glade riders, blew the other one off with magic late on, chariots were ace esp the one which smashed a unit of wild riders to small bitz and another that accidently flead and put 2 wounds on the treeman (impact hits ftw!). one unit of minoators and a spawn had a game effot in holding up most of his heavy hitters (but unfortuently also most of his points) finally going down to two units of treekin, the wildriders with the warbanner, lv 4 (on a unicorn! didn't even know such a thing was in the game rules!) and treeman. saddly failling to rally a herd with a shaman in it for 3 turns gave up enough points for a minor loss. but great game (1 rules issue and that was me being a tool and thinking minators had m7) and got some free hydra dice out of it so can't complain!

game 3: was praying for something squishy and slow with a table with lots of woods for me exploit so i could hopefully end on a win. but randomly i didn't move table (stuck on 30) and got brets......armoured, wardsave, fast brets.....on a table with a big open plain in the middle. got a great ambush, which fought off the peg nights and a unit of bowmen (little sods had a wardsave as well!), got the drop on his general in a unit of errant knights and took them off in a round, and my giant and an epic chariot charge (7impact hits and wounds!) took out the relm knights. Now i thought that a barded warhorse had a charge range of 14", that this was an imutable fact, so i set my minatour up about 15" away from the grail knights for another trap. not so! for grail knights charge a full 16"! however i though i might still just be out of range so i held....and got smassssshed. however this then put them out of possition blocked them up with spawn and dogs and i went off to hid and get table quaters with anything else valuable wasting the last two turns for him effectivly, giving me a 13-7 win!  :1st:

so as to my objectives;

1: don't get tabled or massacered: sucess!
2: win one game; sucess!
3: try and not come bottom of fellow club (OG Games) members: as of the last game i had two fellow club members bellow me, anthing other than massacres would see me above them. two tablings later i'm at the bottom of the heap. fail!  :bash;m: (but good on them and glad that we all finished a poor trend with wins all round)

as to the torny in general, tables esp the botom ones were a pit poor (unstable and poor terrain imo), started late, but good food and everyone got all there games in, and as a noobie i had a blast!

Ah yes the bottome tables were a right state due to the usual ones being missing, the last 2 were so perilous we could not put units on parts of it and also we were virtually in the dark....

As I said to Andy, it was perfect for hiding our bottome table shame....

yes...i managed to convince my opp that the sides were so dangerous he stacked all his brets right in the middle as he had all metal models, giving me both flanks for my manouvering tricks
