email from the TO for anyone who missed it...... LEE TAKE NOTE!!!

-----------------------------------------

Hi everyone,

For those of you that don't know me my name is Richard and I am in charge of the WoM 2010 tournament. So far you have you have been largely in contact with Danny Currey who has very kindly been helping me out and he will continue to be sorting out the payment side of the tournament. However I feel that I should make myself known so that any rules or army queries can be sent directly to me.

So a couple of bits admin and clarifications:

Any team who is bringing armies designed from current army books (up to and including the skaven book) please can you get army lists and background to me by the 1st of March if possible. Preferably attached as word/excel documents. This makes my job on the day a lot easier and also grants bonus points to the teams that do.

If you wish to use an 'alternative' army (eg from Storm of Chaos/a White Dwarf) please can you send me an army list and the source of the army list by the end of this weekend so I have a chance to take a look and give it approval in good time. Apologies on this subject - Chaos Dwarves are NOT considered a standard army (as they have no army book) but accidentally got included on the Alliance table in the rules pack. Therefore any intended Chaos Dwarf players need to email me this weekend please.

It would also be very useful to have an email directly from each team with as much of the following information as possible:

Full names of both players in the team
Team name
Armies you intend to play

This again will make my life a bit easier on the day and having an email address for every team will help me contact the right people if I have any queries. Some of you may have sent this information to Danny already but please could you send an email direct to me - sorry to be a pain.

We seem to have a very popular tournament this year and I look forward to seeing all your (wonderfully painted) models on the battlefields!!

Regards,
Richard Edwards,

BFG Club Secretary

I guessed some of you might want to know this.... so I asked.

Mike,

Always nice to speak to a fellow skaven player!

Unfortunately I wrote the pack several weeks ago and had to put a cut off somewhere so you are correct - we will be using the old beastman book (I have only just recieved a copy of the book myself and thus had no time to evaluate any difficulties/conflicts between the list and the rules for the tournament when the pack was made).

I hope this doesn't upset people too much (it does mean that people's existing armies don't need to be adjusted for the new book),

Regards,
Richard.

odd, it is normally the case that if a book is out a month before tourney they use the new one. But he who pays the piper and all that jazz......
Ogres 15-11-18
Dwarves 11-1-5
Space Marines 1-1-0
In the middle of a rage quit

Mike

thats usually the case with the big boys tournaments....

Its a fair rule i'd say as at the points level if they messed it up the event could be ruined.... At least they gave a reason instead of 'heres how it is... live with it'... like some do!
