Sorry rob but according to the rules pack you cant take that...

Rules state:

'Ring of Hotek' and 'Black Dragon' are mutually exclusive in a Dreadlord's upgrades

In layman's terms, two events are mutually exclusive if they cannot occur at the same time (i.e., they have no common outcomes). The best example is tossing a coin, which can result in either heads or tails, but not both. Both outcomes can't happen simultaneously.

i.e no Dreadlord on Black Dragon with Ring of Hotek.

I think he was tlaking of running a dreadlord on dragon and then a guy on steed with ring of hotek as a bodyguard for him

Fair enough... though sadly easy for your opponent.  he spies the Dragon so knows your lord cant have the ring.  Which means the ring must be on the bsb if at all as champions cant take the ring (in comp)

Solution.  Kill the BSB post haste.

Dragon cant go too far from the BSB as its his escort.  Mounted BSB will have to hide as if he has a shield etc he's no longer fast Cav so cant do the usual fast cav movement... if hs is fast cav hes very very unprotected.

The plan is to mount him on a peg and hide beind him.  As i said the reason why i need practice with it.

The independant events are soo much better run than the GW but they have imporved a lot under Adam Hall.

It's actually quite smart as well, because the Pegasus guy can just go right behind the Dragon, and the Dragon being a large target provides ample cover- especially with the dragon's chariot base (if it has one). Except against cannons. Fortunately cannons are also pretty heavily penalised at this tournament :)
