Large, terror causing, moves as a skirmisher, regenerating with hatred beasies in the dark elf book for example was a doozie.... I ask you who comes up with some of these rumors.... completely fictional... some people have a vivid imagination.

I can't see %s being used to replace the current slots systems, it makes zero sense and would require a major erratta (waiting 10 years for all army books to be redone is not feasible either!). I could see it being used alongside it, otherwise many of the restrictions inarmy books make no sense.

If %s do replace them entirely, then at 1000 points, I look forward to fielding Skarsnik in a unit of 15 Snotlings (immune to psych baby!) with 6 Spear Chukkas and 6 Pump Wagons. Aww yeah!!

I think it's supposed to be that is percentages are rearing their ugly head again, they're suposed to be alongside the existing selection chart.

I personally can't see this happening unless the standard game size jump up a bit, as otherwise they'll be effectively disallowing dragons and greater daemons at 2000 points (which would result in less toys sold, hmm...)

25% of 2000 means that you can fit a bloodthirster in. He just won't have all of the toys.

I'm with Mike on this one. I can't see percentages coming back or indeed being that restrictive if they do.
Characters used to be up to 50% of your army under that system and even with the vamps maxed out it's tough getting close to that.

Not going to stop me buying the book though

characters at 50% would only really hit my list when I go uncomped wizard madness for the gt anyways, so not too big a deal!

Not that there is any proof that percentages are coming back, but if there were there would need to be some kind of appreciation that VC and TK need more points in heroes and, as Richard pointed out, O&G could abuse the system.

I am sure the writers at GW will have thought of this as it is not in their interests to kill the game!

I'm not sure how much TK and VC really need this: TK can still get 3 good characters at 2K for a strong magic phase- not unlike how most comp has treated them recently. Vampires will have to make some real sacrifices for once, do they really need that 450 point Lord, or can they get away with a 300 points Lord and a couple of cheap heroes? These kinds of trade-offs sound like exactly what I want to see, but I doubt percentages will make it into the game in any kind of truly workable and smart way... but I can hope.

And how, it'd be great! I could have ranked units of goblin characters! Literally the combat goblin elite (20+ common goblins with light armor and shields) could become the combat goblin elite (20 common goblin Heroes with light armor and shields) for a mere 780pts.
