Now normally I dont believe rumors but in this instance I didnt ask... he told... As he asked how the skaven were coming along.... 'finished' says I.... 'no you're not' says he.... 'uh' says me... '8th edition box set' says he.... 'ooohh says me'

As for those rumours, I'm really not liking what I'm hearing about magic, going to be all consuming by the sounds of it...

CC seems to have got really complicated, not what it needs...

I know a number of current and former GW store staff. They really laugh at the sort of cr*p that appears online as confirmed fact. They have told me that:

1. They are not told any more about upcoming releases than you can read on Warseer. GW simply don't trust their shop staff with unreleased commercially sensitive information, even as hint-hint rumours.

2. They actively make stuff up for entertainment value. This is why 'a redshirt told me' rumours should be immediately disregarded as they are more likely to be false than true. (A couple of Xmasses ago staff in one of the stores which shall remain unidentified actually ran a pool - £5 in, and the staff member who got the most outrageous made up rumour on Warseer as a 'this is definitely happening' won the pot. I believe the winner had told someone that 40k was going to start using square bases and ranking units up in combat .

On the other hand I have lost count of the number of times I know more than them (with confirmed stuff).....But then I am in the trade so to speak...
