I'm thinking if the Dwarfs of Chaos are allowed, 1 unit of warriors, 1 blunderbuss unit, hobgob infantry, hobgob cav

then one more slot, thinking either hobbo BT, sneaky gits or another Warrior/bb unit.  Decisions decisions...

Firstly mythanks for the overwhelming interest & suggestions for this tournament.
I have had a great may suggestions from my own club as well, I had the day of yesterday so studied them & updated the rules pack which is above.
I have decided against banning specific items & races & have gone for a more across the board limitation on power levels in paricular for charcters.

I have not put in a power dice limit as I wish to playtest this to see how devastating the effect actually is.

So we will be playtesting in November at Mk & would love to hear your experiances & veiws for version 4 in December.

My aim is to have the final draft ready for the public by January 2010.

Unlike GW I believe the way to a good game is experianced people playing/breaking the rules set, too many UK competitions have plainly not done any play testing on their comp at all so I would really like to break the mold here to establish a fair & fun event.

Regards

Mark

good to hear there's no flat out bans on armies.

Gonna keep bugging you, Dwarfs of Chaos, yay or nay?

We'll get some playtests done this monday at OG and let you know

Thats a YAY, even a couple of special bits in the armies section for them!

I like the limit on 20pts for a magic item, I don't know what all the filthy items cost but those I know are above that.
The magic attacks negating ward saves is a great idea and should be a rule across the board in the game.

One last idea on playtesting, we at Mk are having our own mini evening tourny with six players & three games which will test out a load of army combos & be a laugh.
Depending on the interest at your club this may may be a fun way to play test the rules pack!

Are the chaos dwarfs allowed the Ravening Hordes or the Indy GT book, its not too clear (if it's the indy GT book, wolf riders are already 5+, and bull centaurs are already special)
