Doubt you'll see many armies with 2 WLC any more. Good thing too as the model looks absolutely rubbish next to all the new amazing contraptions!

I reckon you're wrong on that front....

Its lost the ability to shoot through woods.  But its now a cannon with a template at the end.  Still str as per artillery dice... plus anything 'touched' by the template takes a hit.

Still multiplies to D6 wounds no AS....

Its also cheaper....

So if anything its become more reliable thanks to guess range rather than 8D6 range.

The WLC sounds good but i wonder if it wil be a while as everyone tries out the new toys before finding the strongest lists.

The initial lists are good... but soon disappear as people play test.

I like skaven mucking up my shooting, makes me think of ways around it and how to play better. Play the ckaven army to death and figure out how to beat it like any new book.

After having read the book last night
all I can say is wow!
I will post a thread with my thoughts
on the book this week,
going to take Queek and some CC rats
to face VC tonight, see how it goes

You only ever really saw 2 WLC in proper tournament lists, but this edition the Abomination gets all the cheese rations, plus other cool rare choices exist so I don't think many will bother with 2, even if they are better than before...

It was never no armour save, as far as I remember. You're probably just used to rolling S8 or 10 all the time which translates to no armour save most of the time

Provided there is still a good chance of the skaven imploding  taking as many of their own troops as the enemies in a disgustingly unstable and insane manner I will be happy with the book, from what I hear people keep talking about it all seems a bit tooo reliable!

no no, everything can pretty much go wrong, they won't be beating DoC on a regular basis any time soon..

However 2 HP beasties on the field at the same time, will cause big big problems...
