Phoenixes looks so much better than the previous pic now I can see the flaming tail. Still not convinced about the Ice one though.
Shadow Warriors look boss which is about time after the atrocious Gary Morley models of 7th.
Maiden Guard actually look decent given GW's record for female models.
Pretty sure the special character fella is the Phoenix King (riding on chariot and a model on foot) given he looks like he is Seaguardish unless it's the Sea Lord Aislinn.
Not convinced at all by the running mage/swordmaster chap with the massive moon on his head... no subtlety

Been checking in every 3-4 months and keeping an eye on whats been going on the Hammer scene. Remember reading about the Chaos player who Gatewayed 4 Vamp Lords at SCGT (including me and I think u Ol) was found the next year to be using dodgy dice... 

New High Elves is awesome though. I started with them in 5th and played with them all the way through the editions until branching out with a 2nd army at the back end of 7th picking Vamps. Been checking the rumours everyday for a month now. Safe to say I'm hooked. Literally (Jamie Redknapp style) cannot wait.

Best part of the story being the organisers refused to name names and he basically got away with it scott free, some of tourney regulars know and have continued to give him a load of stick about it ever since but on the whole he paid very little price for being a cheating twat.

Heard recently he's been playing daemons, who get extra benefits for rolling high on the winds of magic table, lets hope he manages to avoid the temptation of just slipping that bent dice back in the bag again eh?!

Also another person caught with a loaded dice at SCGT this year, but as a low table player who had managed to lose most of his games it was basically accepted as an accident, still naughty, naughty.

Blimey Dave you're always qutie sanguine in your posts, seeing the above took me by surprise.

The new High Elf mini's look cool, the shadow warriors look really good. Not sure about the bird chariot thing though, reminds me of the He-Ma Talon Fighter.

Shamelessly lifted off the Ulthuan website.

1) High Magic Lore attribute is 6+ ward save on friendly units if you cast a spell on them. If your already have a ward save, this gets better by 1 point.
2) Stubborn Lion Chariots.
3) Frost and Fire phoenixes can go alone. BUT frost phoenix can only be ridden by Caradryan and fire phoenix by the Anointed of Asuryan.
4) Loremaster of hoeth is L2 Lord option with WS6 W3 A3. Knows all signatures from rulebook.
5) New Lothern Sea Guard hero character. He can ride a flying boat.
6) New Lord option: Anointed of Asuryan. He can ride a fire phoenix.
7) Silver Helms go core.
Sisters of Avelorn will have magic bows (but we do not know if any other bonuses)
9) Three army rules: Speed of Asuryan, Valor of Ages, Martial Prowess. We do not know yet if they remain the same or they have changed (apparently the latter option).
10) Flying boat name is Skycutter. LSG hero can be built on foot or as a crewmember from the Skycutter sprue. Phoenixes' names are: flamespyre/frostheart; Anointed of Asuryan and plastic Caradryan can be built either mounted or on foot from plastic sprues of phoenixes.

Apparently someone has read the new White Dwarf etc.
For those wondering about rumour 9, Speed of Asuryan is ASF, Valour of Ages is the psychology thing against Dark Elves, and Martial Prowess is the "fight in an extra rank" that Spearmen have always had.
