Space Kings - A 40k PLOG

At the same time as my Necrons, I am have also started a new 'vanilla' space marines army. With the view to trying out lots of different allies and combos in 6th...

The theme of the army will be Dutch orange, with accents of yellows and reds.
Will also try to make as many conversions as possible in the army, to try and make the army stand out a bit from the norm....

With a few units built, this is what I have so far...

Assault Squad: With a drill bit, paper clips and resin bases, I have tried made these models look like they are actually in the air, also to give them some interesting poses..
Pennies have been used to weight the bases down to give them some much needed stability....

Five made, five to go...

Also built 5 assault terminators , a tactical squad and the storm talon, all base coated....



I am going to use green stuff to make the missile launcher look like it is actually firing...

Done some GS work on the missile launcher marine, tried to make it swirly, to make it look realistic..
Think it came out rather well, even though it might be hard to see on the picture..
Just got to paint it correctly now..

Been working on some new 40k scenery for the club..

First up is the new scenery for our purple alien themed board..
Quite pleased with how it worked out, new alieneque hills, craters and spooky woods

It is currently all over the place but at least it keeps it interesting..
Still painting Daemons for Gareth at the moment, but with Warlord GT looming, I need to get a wiggle on with my marines and get them all painted..
So expect some Marine painting action soon...
