Paint more Gor!!

Hi chaps!  Got a mental painting project for you. Need to paint a beasts army for SCGT (so under 2 weeks). It is:

7 characters + herdstone
60 Gor
25 Ungor
10 Ungor Raiders
10 Harpies
28 Bestigor
Gordon the Gorgon

Hmm...doable? ;) so far painted 7 Gor and nearly finished assembling it all...

Exactly right ;) fortunately I'm a student so not a lot on. Got bet with Gareth riding on it!

Wow that's an impressive task you've set yourself. Took me about 18 months to paint a similar amount of Beastmen! Although I wasn't a student, but I don't have a social life, so I suppose that's nearly the same thing!

Photo looks great, though I think the middle Gor might need another dip!!!!!

Haha, well I was waiting for the new paints to come out to do that one.

Well steps for them for SCGT are:

Army painter paints

1) spray - leather brown
2) hooves - oak brown
3) bone and horns - skeleton bone
4) loincloth and cloth on axes - red
5) fur - wet brush mix of bone/leather brown
6) weapons and medallions - shining silver
7) hair - uniform grey

Then I dip the model and spray with Matt varnish.

Finally paint the rock on the base grey and drybrush it a lighter grey before flocking.

Doing it in batches of 5-6. Hope to have 25 Gor done by tonight!  Then gonna do the ungor and other 25 Gor this week!

Totally nuts.  If you win the bet you may be financially better off, but your sanity will have disappeared up a gor's backside.  If Gordon starts talking back, you know what to do - phone Jeremy Kyle, and keep talking.

Right, unit 1 of Gor (30) ready to dip! Gonna have supper and do it after. Will post a pic of the finished unit tomorrow when I've flocked and varnished them. At mum's atm and the tools for that are at home.
