Been loving playing with my Grey Knights, but the troops issue has been a problem, my army is so small that i struggle in objective missions big time...

Looking at Vanquish, I want to take Coteaz who lets you use the Inquisitor warbands as troops with no maximum amount, so apart from the lovelt 15pt Flagellants, i can also take units of Warrior Acolytes for a staggering 4pts each (bascially they are Imperial Guardsmen). Not I am not going down the cheese route of 3 in a Rhino etc, but going to take a few units of 10 with some upgrades (got my eye on some steel legion models)..

However I have a question, Coteaz states that

QuoteHenchmen are troops choices in an army that includes Coteaz and are not ltd by the number of inquisitors in your army

However the rules for Henchmen state they do not take up a force orgornisation slot..

Does this mean I still have to take 2 units of normal GK troops as well??

Not if you don't want to. The FOC restriction is that you have to have a minimum of 2 Troops in any army, not "2 Troops from the Troops portion of the FOC", if that makes sense?

Coteaz ensures you can take up to the maximum number of Henchman Squads as Troops to a total of 6 units, irrespective of how many other Inquisitors you chose to include. The "no maximum amount" purely refers to the number of Henchman units you would normally be allowed to take with normal Inquisitors and no Coteaz.

i.e.
- 2 normal Inquisitors (HQs) allows a maximum of 2 Henchman Squads (no FOC)
- 1 Coteaz (HQ) and +1/0 other normal Inquisitors allows a maximum 6 Henchman Squads (TR)

(long-winded but capiche?)
