How about the IA apocalypse 2 2nd Ed 'for games of 40k' options as a start and timmy the bent ones?

Re the assult ram I'm not getting one because  it is a) treated as cheese b) can hold 10 terminators but as the biggest da squad is 7 (5+characters) I can't use effectively c) bloody expensive to buy d) most importantly butt ugly!

Lee if we let in forge world there is the incentive to make your ararnarok conversion thing!

I'd say something along the lines of:

Each army may contain a single 40k Approved unit/vehicle from a Forge World IA rule book, if they wish. The player must provide an appropriate model (both size and armament) and all rules for said unit and have them available for their opponents. If they do not, said unit cannot be used during the game and will count as dead for KPs.

Note: due to certain Forge World created units being slightly overpowered with respect to their points value, the Timmy comp panel reserves the right to restrict certain units from being used on a army-to-army basis.


Not sure if you want to make sure people are using the correct models or not at this stage.

Meals seems to have that virtually bang on. However it's worth adding that the vehicle/unit MUST say "you may use this as an X choice in a Y army". You can't cherry pick stuff that is specific to an imperial armour army list, fr example. And all armies must still be codex lists.

As for the models. The point of this is to try some fun, different stuff. So no, an appropriately sized representative model should do. Though obviously not to be abused.

I'm going to convert a big bug out of the Warhammer Arachnarok (spider), no idea what I'll use it as yet, haven't read the FW books!
