Special characters being allowed means that all manner of filth is going to be there, and not much point taking a knife to a gun fight.

You can fit a BT or KoS in the "500pt" lord choice. Me thinks that DoC is going to be popular.

Trying to restrain from taking DoC but to go for DE instead (I know, not much better, but at least with no SC's).

We'll see what I can/can't get painted in time.

It does go some way towards stopping the filth. If you want to take, say, a Dark Elf Dragon, this restricts you from taking more than 2 characters for your 1500 point games, and means the common tasty combo of Hydra + 2 RBT can't be used either. Similarly for Daemons while they can fit in a Greater Daemon (Or even Kairos, as someone did last year!) for 2K, it does prevent them adding the second unit of Flamers or 4th special slot at least.

For my Vampires, the extra 500 points goes towards a Vampire Lord and a unit of Wolves. So only one rare choice- and of course the army isn't very hot at 1500 points either. So I'm hoping that Konrad von Carstein and his army standard bearer with the Drakenhof Banner will go some way towards rectifying that situation ;)

It's not good! I think we both lose him, which would be quite bad for me as he'll be my general in the lower points games...
