As it's an Internet topic of conversation/ controversy I was just wondering what people's opinion was. I'm thinking of getting a Morris pattern dreadnought as I think it is beautiful and badass and will use it ad just a normal dread if necessary but would be cool to know if I could run it out as intended ocassionally!

I think most people would be happy with it, as long as they knew in advance that it's going to be "one of those games".

To be used as proxies in normal games, and as FW rules in agreed games IMO

Alot of us are still learning what the basic stuff does...

I'd apply the same rule of thumb I use in my fantasy games, the simple "don't be a dick" rule works well. Unfortunately rules you out entirely tom! ;)

Seriously, unless it's obscene or game-breaking, I'm fine with whatever being used!

There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

Allow dreadnought to assult the same time the deepstrike: turn 1 assults. Though you so have to take a dangerous terrain test

Its only fair to warn the opponent.  And the person should really have a conversion or the actual FW model- I don't think they can rock up with an implausible proxy and say "this is a such and such".  No pint glasses for drop pods!  So that finance isn't too much of a barrier to playing with FW rules, passable conversions of the unit in question would be fine with me (e.g. although this is not a good example of a cheap conversion, if i had a thunderfire cannon and a land raider, magnet bits of them together= land raider achilles.  ).

But obviously FW units are a no-no for tourneys (we need to break the seal and allow indie characters first!)

Personally i'd love to see a thunderhawk in action or for someone to make their own titan out of plasticard.  Craig has a stompa made from a mister potato head, i seem to recall.
