Battle for Planet OG V - Jan 2012

For the first Planet OG (5) event in Jan 2012, what format would you like to see, I think we have anice amount of regular 40k players in the club and who have attended regular PLanet OG's to try out bigger and better events..

2 dayer might be good if enough interest. In general, Sundays are a lot better for me than Saturdays (always have to try shuffle work).

I'd be up for that. Would it be a w/end event or two one-dayers? W/end could be fun :)

Maybe i've just cause the bug from the WFB doubles but i like to see how Double would work for 40k.....


Only possible issue i can envisage would be that OG Comp is in it's infancy and as such would be wide open to possible abuse....

I don't really mind which type of event, I'll just be glad to finally play in one!

That could be quite easily solved by making the pairings random on the day

Doubles is good fun and I think it suits OG well. Stick to 1500 total though if I were you. 2k+four Players could take a very long time

Having said that the 2 day, 5 game singles tourney is great fun and gives a better balance of games/ players.

5 game singles tourney over 2 days would work.
3 games on Sat and 2 on Sunday. Starting a little later Sunday and finishing a little earlier I imagine?
Does the Spread Eagle do a good Sunday Roast? Should be fun and good for getting about the tables and opponents.
