Meh. Then you take three squads of thirty and you've still got a horde... Thirty is actually a more manageable. Also, thirty Guard will get owned by thirty Orks. So you gonna cap them at what? 15?

Oh and while I'm at it, add Lootaz and Nobz to the 0-1 list ;)

You reckon? Move 30 guard up to rapid fire range of 30 orks and they'll drop half the unit just with lasguns (with FRFSRF).  Then drag another 5 or so down in the assault before the commissar pulps a couple. Orks'll get  15-20 and the guard will pass their ld10 stubborn test.

Pretty close I'd say...and that's if there isn't a hellhound removing a third of the orks first ;)

Still, I'm taking Grey Knights now. Possibly the weakest against either horde guard or orks! Woop!

If 30 orks are allowing themselves to be rapid fired with no cover they deserve to die!

By the same logic (assuming no cover for either party and improbable range), 30 slugga boys shoot a bit, killing a couple. Then assault (simultaneous attacks), guard get 29 attacks at I3, hitting 15, killing 5. Orks hit at the same time, 120 attacks, 90 hit, 54 wounds, killing all the guard so no attacks back for commisar.

Hard to compare the two, as in combat one will mince the other, and visa versa with shooting. But really I only replied because I don't like to think of Orks losing combat to guard :(
