Just seems a really slow release for fantasy, is that due to the 40k stuff (is it planetstrike?) and the new LotR stuff? I remember at the start of the year when people were saying we would see Skaven BoC and 1 other (poss TK) this year!

Yeah it was rumuored to be the 'year' of fantasy, with LM, BoC, TK, Skaven and even Ogres coming out, but for various reasons it did not happen.
Still there's always next year...

The Wolves are getting released in Sept/Oct, which is why the Skaven are a bit later in the year.

Looks like the new warmachine is going to be a 'warpfire' launcher ..

Also there will be 13 Special characters, with Deathmaster Sniktch comfirmed as one of them...

13 special characters FFS, considering these are banned from many tournaments I hope it doesn't mean that they are important for the functioning of the army. This is also surprising as it means 13 sculpts GW will need to make, re-introduce which they will only sell in small volumes, not my favourite business model.

Still it is good to see new stuff coming out and new army books always add a little impetus, also they may change Sniktch's rules so the little broken fecker stops killing Valten!

Rich, They'll probably use the old sculpts with new rules for a lot of the SC's. And I'll bet that not all of them will have models.

13 is a bit OTT, but I can see what the thinking is behind the number.

I very much doubt that many (if any) of the new SCs will get a model, look at the WoC book for instance, buckets of SC's, 2 new models?

There are meant to be a good few new metal sculpts, and most of the SC's will have older models already, ie Throt, Dude on rat bod, Squeek etc...
