This will be updated almost daily from now on! Basically I work as and when, when the shifts start drying up I'll have to look for full time work (eurghhhh) but for now, basically I have a strange amount of disposable income AND free time! Can't complain! (It's pretty weird, I have an awesome thing going on and people keep nagging me to get full time work?!)

So basically all I am doing in this free time is....hobby! By SCGT I want my arm to look really f*cking nice. And I want it half decent by mid march for a practice.

I want everything magnetised ASAP so I can get a goddam game in! Also need to assemble new stuff, bt not rush it craply.

If I blog I might not feel so much like I'm not acheiving anything,I'm just not in the exciting parts yet is all.

So yesterday:

put the wolves on bases... might start using them who knows... not a paintint priorit but it means theyre on the bases, so ready whenever. The move tray was tight in the middle, think I may have pinched it in when gluing... eep.



made a wolf conga for Mr Hale


I rebased a load of characters. but I suck, I have to do it all again today. I put them onto the wood sarrissa base but with magnetic strip they suck. I remembered the mantic square bases have an alcove,(im not using GW bases, I have a strange desire for the all be neat squares, no slopeys!) So today I need to rip them all off, stick on mantic, and stick a rare earth magnet under. Solved!

I also *dug* out all my skeletons and rebased a load of them, as well as multibasing some. didn't take a pic of that. I have quit a lot though. Might just abandon my gw ones though, cant be arsed rebasing. Will just keep in box as spare or summons I think, only got about 20 not worth fiddling around cutting off their feet.

TODAY:

I intend toooo

rebase every single one of my characters and magnet them up goooood

trim all the excess magnet from skellies

finish off my painted movement trays

put sand on and spray the unfinished one

write my email to sarrissa about the wonky trays that need replacing

do a stock take of what is magnetised

maybe attempt a SCGT list

Since my uni/valley rants I decided to quit uni and the valleys, so I'm living in a very nice shared house in Cardiff.

I've got a semi dedicated space which doubles as an office, basically it has to be cleared every so often but mostly just sits out.

Are those the sarissa bases?  If so what are they made of and how easily/well do models attach to them?  I'm considering the whole 'seamless base' thing for an army at some point and these might be the perfect solution.

I've found myself doing so much hobby since I got the desk, in the last house was either leant up against my bed or on the sofa arm, trying reaaallly hard to not spil anything, and having to retreat to my bedroom by about 5/6 for the nightly houseparty!

Yeah Sarissa are ace. I just use superglue and they attach fine, have been using loads of greenstuff because I've taken things off old bases so the feet arent very even. They fit in seamlessly with mantic bases too.

then ALL DAY I have been sorting through my ghouls and deciding on 40 that can stay. The rest are being packed in a box, I can't sell them, I love my ghoul collection! So I pretty much kept one of each, with one or two doubles... Can't wait til theyre all painted and their tray the will be the hottest ghouls on the scene.




Nearly done, I was meant to go out but nobody has been in touch so prob sort out the skellies tonight (I am turning into a girl Matt I think), then most of my shit should be magnetised and I can play with the new stuff, and maybe even............ PAINT SOMETHING!

Oh yeah and I have been loving those earth magnets too, sorted out the metal/character dilemma. That whats taken me so long today, sorting out magneting everyones bases
