Dave

I use floor polish for certain things but will usually use a flow aid or matt/glaze medium if it's flow improvement Im after, mainly because floor polish tastes horrible when you get it in your water.  That said everyone keeps telling me all these mediums are horrendously dangerous and I shouldn't lick my brush if I use them.  Meh.

Mostly I thin my paint using the same thinners I put through my airbrush because I've got a nice squeezy bottle of it, it's got a slightly different feel to water when thinned using it which I prefer too.

I do use floor polish, but only for polishing the floor. Does this make me mad? :nutzo:

I suppose it depends on whether you want your delicate parts to smell "Pine Fresh" or not.

I feel sorry for Jack, we've taken this blog compeltely off topic and into the land of smut whilst he's been away!  :))

Glad I'm providing a forum for all your sexual and painting needs*. Don't try and fulfill both at the same time though, that's my top tip of the day!

Yep, I knew what I was signing myself up for, don't worry!

Why are you going around the country painting hotel rooms, do the management know about this? You may lose your deposit.
They didn't make me sign anything saying I couldn't paint the walls Khemri Brown.

Can we find any more uses for floor polish? I count 3 so far. A proper blogger might offer a prize for this competition. But I'm not. So I'm not.

*Edit: should this be my blog's tagline?

Of all colours you chose Khemri Brown, how dull! Tentacle Pink all the way!

If you offer a prize, Ol will end up winning it anyway, so you should just give something to him now!

Tagline? I haven't got a tagline yet, don't get ahead of yourself - you've got about 570 replies to go before that point!  :wink;m::

Update 2 - Painting on tour

So it's been around a week since my last update, so I feel like all you lovely organisms are due another installment. Also, more importantly, I'm stuck in a hotel with no one to entertain me, so I'm in a ranty kind of mood (I can hear alarm bells ringing in your heads already).
Notice that I deliberately didn't name my updates 'Week 1' etc... This is because I don't want to give you unreal expectations that you'll actually get something out of me every week, because my painting enthusiasm is sporadic at best!

One good thing about being sent away to the middle of nowhere is that I get to sleep in a massive bed! Even if I lay width-ways my feet don't hang over the edge, this is incredibly exciting! I could fit about 7 people in this bed (at least). Hypothetically speaking... I haven't had any such offers recently.

OK, perhaps it's just me who's excited about this. I suppose we should get on to the actual painting. Here's my little makeshift painting station, while i'm out 'in the field:'

Using the extortionately priced room service menu as a mat (I definitely wont be ordering anything from it). After finishing 5 tomb guard and my liche priest in the last update, I'm going to move on and have a go at the archers. So I've had a go at basecoating the first model of the unit, to get a feel for the sort of colour scheme I'd like to use:

Using red, white, gold and purple as my main signature colours again, I've given him a Hormagaunt Purple headscarf and other dangly bits, and basecoated his pyjamas Space Wolves Grey. The cloak is Dragon Red army painter spray again, washed with Devlan Mud, and the bow is basecoated with Graveyard Earth.

All you lucky readers (assuming anyone has actually stuck it out this far, and if you have, reward yourselves with a biscuit!) have an exciting sneak peak into my bathroom in the background of this shot. Complete with bidet. What is the point in a bidet?! I can honestly say I have never used it for its intended purpose. Surely it's really just a foot-washer with a french name? I realise I'm opening this blog up to anecdotes that I don't think anyone wants to see, so I'm going to move swiftly on... We've already heard too much about alternative uses for floor polish.

So you may have realised that I've been trying to distract you with random garbage about bidets and beds, and I've only actually got a picture of 1 model to show you. And even that's only been basecoated and washed. To make up for it, I have got another little problem you can help me with. Dead flesh. (I am talking about painting now, I'm not decomposing like Anne Robinson's face after a botox overdose).
Any top tips for the best way to make it look gory and old? I'm going for Rotting Flesh over Bronzed Flesh, with some Ogryn Flesh wash. Any better ideas will be rewarded with more pointless chat from me!

The thing is, I don't have any actual content really (just look at my last update!). Or decent painting to show off. So I have to resort to all the cheap gimmicks I can manage  :wink;m::
