I can't think of any reason that a big base would benefit me (in fact it's a lot worse)

I think it's common practise to measure to the model, as most don't have bases anyway

5 Errants are so much better than 5 Yeomen... Its about 30 points more and you get a 2+save, which means your redirectors aren't killed by whatever light shooting your opponent has.

Also 1 Treb is pretty much useless... but they are such lovely models.

I know I've never played brets before so you are a lot better qualified to talk about it, but, the yeoman have go be better don't they!? As fast cav they can hide behind my lances in a single file line so they are -2 to shoot them... Then at redirect time the fast cav abuse makes it so easy to put them where you need them. I can only see the errants being bum, especially if they have to charge what they are meant to be standing in front of!! :)

Anyway at a crappy wedding today so no update... :(

Well, don't let me stop you from trying them out, I just thought they were naff, but some Brett players love them.  The other big issue with Yeomen is the expensive crappy metal models, and I couldn't be arsed converting them so I possibly didn't give them the chance to prove themselves

The leadership issue is pretty moot with a LD9/10 general and BSB in range. So I think it comes down to:

Yeomen: Very maneuverable and fast. light armour. Can't fight in combat, but can get to Warmachines
Errants: Not so maneuverable but won't die to light shooting. Viable option for support/flank charging
