Its not a debate, they are completly different games, you could debate the pros & cons of similar games as there would be points of comparison, but comparing the two is like debating Football vs Cricket!

Warhammer fantasy could be compared to War of the Ring or Kings of War as they are all Fantasy (swords & sorcery) based mass combat games.

Hordes could be compared to Confrontation, Malifaux, Secrets of the 3rd Reich etc

Everyone is free to play both, one or neither.

Back to warhammer, It will be interesting to see the range of armies taken under this comp, I have not played under it yet but the armies posted thus far are looking much more like proper armies with less herohammer to them.

Ol, so my list is the fluffy or has someone else gone for Lore of Wild.  80 gor to paint in 10 days is it possible.

Different but not exactly 'fluffy', if those units hit, it will hurt..

Fluffy has multiple meanings though.

1. Fluffy - soft

2. Fluffy - In keeping with the fluff (background)

It is definitely 2., it isn't really 1.
