The Wandsworth Waargh 7 - 14th May - Army Swap

One day event on Saturday 14th May ..

3 Games of WFB, Battle Line scenarios.

Up to 75% of your army needs to be painted to a decent tabletop standard, the rest can even be unpainted (we at OG realise fully that RL can get in the way of even the simplest painting plans)

1200 points and you play your opponent twice, once with your army and then with theirs.
The Average VP's from both games are added together and we use the 20-0 scoring system to work out a winner (a modified table for the smaller points level)..

14 places per day

Tickets cost £7.50 and can be paid in cash at the club or by Paypal (as a gift) to [spoiler]fatolaf@hotmail.co.uk[/spoiler]

There will be some comp (in the post below) but that will mainly exist to help the weaker armies. On the whole the key to remember is that 1200 points comps itself to an extent and the fact that you will have to be able to beat your own list.

Timmy comp will be in place however just in case any one so deviously minded slips through the net...

The Comp:

No Special Characters
1200 points
Ogres can combine their Lord & Hero points %


The following Items are banned:

Power Scroll
Book Of Hoeth
Banner of the World Dragon
Pendant of Khaelith

BSB & Crown of Command can not both be taken in the same army apart from:

Orcs & Goblins, Ogres & Beastmen


No item /ability// spell can be taken that increases the number of Power Dice in your pool
Max 12 power Dice in any magic phase
Only 6 PD can be thrown by any Wizard on any spell (Yes even DE)

Mind Razor can only be cast on it's lower casting value

All Characters that are eligible to a LOS roll, only suffer 1 wound from the following spells.
Dwellers, Dreaded 13th, Gateway (S11-12), Final Transmutation and Purple Sun

TK will be comped (If needed) after the book is out (or after I get it... )

This might be better off in the comp thread but could we comp the steam tank please? Pretty ridiculous at 1200 (although obviously you would have to play against it too so may balance out).

Thats my thinking about not comping any units really..However as stated Timmy will be in place for any lists that tip the balance...

I recently played in the Bristol Brawl army swap & can honestly say this is the one event where i can endourse no comp, as this can really teach a lesson to anyone who's only tactic is shout "Power scroll Dwellers".

The players who did better had more unusual builds that required a bit of practice & tactics to use well, the guy that took the gunline had a really bad weekend.

A for instance is that I took Wood Elves but did not take a lord with life as that is an easy to use option, nor did I take a big mob of Treekin as again my opponenet just needed to shove them forward, I got 3rd best general & 4th overall.

It is great fun & I can recommend this to all, you will learn more at this event than any other.

I agree about not needing to comp anything. The idiots that take bent lists will just get draws against every opponent... mid table mediocrity ftw?

Anyway, Saturday for me please. I'll be there with some special Bretts ;)
