Very tempted by this, was one of my favourite events last year.

Looks like they are tweaking the comp, including reducing the core requirement for HEs. Might see if i can bring out the dragon again :)

I'd love to go and Tempest 2 was ace, but
a) I'm poor,
and b) my folks are arriving that weekend,

So I'm out. Can't even go to Call-to-War in May anymore since I've got 2 friends leaving that weekend.

As for comp, based on my quick chat with Bobo, I expect only a couple of small changes tbh. Dark Elf magic dice spam and some form of Herdstone comp (I'd guess a caster limit if you have the Stone or something). They were the only terrible things I can recall from that weekend (other than Mindrazor    )

Decentish comp last time around and it sounds like they're tightening up the loopholes.  If it's 2600pts again then I have a few ideas of how I could run both my armies to be pretty decent under the restrictions.  Attendance is very much dependent on the satisfaction of the girlfriend however, as 3 weekends gaming out of 4 has left me heavily in relationship debt.

Woot, got allowed to go with the main condition being I arrange to meet up with a bunch of non gaming mates some weekend before then too... She seems to think I'll stop speaking to all my other friends because it's more fun to hang out with gamers (hard to dispute).  So that was a rather simple solution!

Comp sounds like it will be rather silly, I can't wait to see what happens to the magic phase with the change up.  Suspect I'll take my woodies again but with a far harder build than last time.

I've got my ETC 2400 pts list which ran out pretty well last time I tried it though needs to face some harder opposition for a real test.  Probably bolt on 200pts to that and I'll be sorted!
