They've done it at all of them so far, didn't enforce using those dice though.  Lerker dice are bent anyways, definitely weighted to showing those lerkers more often than not when your opponent rolls them but your own ones never do.

AGOM events have always supplied a full set of dice to every player & players may not use any other dice.

I personally do not like any dice with pictures on (usually club dice) as some replace 1 & others 6.

I will probably ban club dice at future events of mine as they are afterall novelty dice & as such will have a non standard roll.

As an aside, I know the player involved at SCGT & do not for one minute believe he intentionally used bent dice, he like a lot of players has a large box of dice picked up over the years. I myself discovered a few dice that had the 2 replaced by a second 3 which is a fairly subtle cheat, no idea where I picked them up but after that I use all one type & only get them from one source.

Personally I hate the WPS yellow dice, they always seem to come up 'sixes' but yeah club dice annoy me. I was talking to the Tamplin about this (I asked him about his casino dice which he told me he dropped as they've too big to use for 8th - when you're rolling more than 20) and he says that everyone should just use GW dice. I don't blame him, everyone use the same GW dice.

This is a difficult subject so I'm not really going to comment on it publicly (mods can check my thoughts though!)... I will play him in the future with no question but there will always be a nagging doubt about it now won't go away, especially if the "tactic" of his army remains the same.

I agree with Mark though, it's obvious that club dice are not "normal"... Unseen Lerker dice appear foul, Lee's Chaos Dwarf dice are just plain bent... The fact that I played two people this weekend who joked about rolling a "bad dice" logo on An important ward save, found one in their pile, then rolled a six, just wasn't that funny...

And spiky club dice are sh*t because they have logos on the 1's!!!
In the style of Tom Hale... F*ck Ushabti!!!

The Trampoline

Yeap, the Spiky dice just seem to roll badly, its the opposite of bent, stupid.

To be fair though, my Lerker dice sucked all the bad luck from everyone else's Lerker dice...  :endit:

I think I may get some smaller dice though since I need to get new dice. Big dice just do not tend to roll very well, especially with big handfuls. Don't even get me started on Casino dice, I bloody hate people who use them for Warhammer. Unless you're bouncing them off a wall, they are NOT more balanced than any other.
There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

I've a couple of big bags of 50 bog standard dice which I should dig out, they're ideal for 8th because you can fit a tonne in your hand and because I've so many I don't mind the losses you take at a normal tournament.

fatolaf

I have been using the Chessex small dice for all the 8th Ed events I have been to, even asking my ooponets, should I use the artic ones or the red ones, no difference, they have both been poop

Massive difference though between those kind of dice ( that can be found in magic sets) and 'loaded' dice which always roll 6's, which were the ones allegedly used...

I think it is a very tricky topic and has created a  shadow that will weigh over the player involved for a long while.
I if I were him, would leave it a while before attending the next event and also change his army or 'tactic' as Stevo said...
