Wow, as part of my babytastic life il gonna be moving to Bath/Bristol at some point towards the end of the year!  I'll be forcing you to take me out for beers when I do move so I can find some decent pubs.

Wasps do look cool, I'd have thought the yellow would be more maddening than the grey.

Toast

Beorg Bearstruck!  and his band of norse mercenaries....  Ah... *misty eyed*  Now paint that model up to the standard you're capable of!

Yeah, you'll have to give me a shout when you're down there. No doubt you can hobby kill at a few local tourneys too!

The yellow's not too bad, three layers and I bizarrely seem to like painting it! It's the cartoony grey edge highlighting for the black that just drives me mad!

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

there's a few other old miniatures going to be dotted about throughout this army, in an aim to provoke exactly that reaction!

Most of my old Dogs of War models reside in my ridiculously heavy horde Empire army (which I will get back to at some point!)

Update 7: There's bugs sah, thousands of them!

Alice and the Space Wasps
Here's the remaining few genestealers that completed the painting of my 1750 points of Tyranids for Vanquish. All of them are from Space Hulk, including two of the bunch in the first two photos from the old Space Hulk.

I tried to paint the terminator heads on these guys to reflect the spread of marine armies at the club/Planet OG events. Some Grey Knights, some Blood angels (even a green one!) and a Son of Malal!

And because I've been inundated with literally hundreds of requests for an army shot, here's a few of the 1750 hive fleet that went to war in Bristol many moons ago. (note: I may be exaggerating by a factor of several hundred requests for effect)

A Song of Blood and Snow
And to continue the conversion teasers for my new Warriors army, here's two of the models that I'll be using in my Chaos Warrior unit. First up is a converted warrior priest. Doing a simple conversion like this with metal makes me appreciate finecast/plastic all the more!

And speaking of "fine"cast, one of the warriors is the 40k Grey Knights character Inquisitor Coteaz, all de-teched and chaos-ified, quite chuffed with how he turned out!

Until next time, remember, don't fight roundabouts!

Seconded, excellent work as always on both the conversions and the yellow. And I'd agree with you on being bored with metal!
