On Tuesday 28th of December (bank holiday) the Milton Keynes wargame Society will host a Warhammer Fantasy Tournament.

So if you think by this time you will have had your fill of endless Christmas tv specials, Turkey with everything, those friends/relatives that you managed to avoid the rest of the year, offspring who are "bored" half way through christmas day & general Christmas cheer! Then maybe this event is for you!

The event will comprise four games using different scenarios with a generic (non army based) comp system.
The games will involve you using four seperate lists starting at 1,000 points & finishing on 2,500 points. (link to rulespack below)
All this for the princely sum of £5.

Ooh, if only my parents still lived in Stony Stratford I would be able to just leave the wife and kids with them for the day and bog off to play with toy soldiers...

Very tempted though...

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

Actually put me down for a place, if the wife complains then I'll just inform her that the alternative was that I organise a tournement on the 2nd of January, which happens to be the day before our youngest daughter's birthday and party...

Looks like i may be able to come to this now, have to check trains this evening.

Mark, is there a bar at the venue? and how easy is it to get to from the train station?

there a bar at the venue? No but as long as we are reasonably descrete there is no problem with bringing your own beers, also a pub 200 yards down the road for a lunchtime drink.

and how easy is it to get to from the train station? central MK station is 4.3 miles away, should be a good chance of a lift back at end of day from one of the locals (they will be too busy setting up first thing).

Just a note that theres only a few slots left now, so need payments to secure places.
