Just letting you know that tickets for the Slaughter go on sale at 9:00 am today (01/09/2010) on TWF and I reckon its going to go pretty fast!

I havn't been to the Slaughter before so i'm all over this.... lucky i've got a day off work today!

Steve, you're turning into a tournament whore! I would love to go to this just to try and improve on my dismal performance at the Slaughter 2009, but will have to give it a miss. It's too expensive a weekend for playing toy soldiers during my return to uni this year.

Yep I'm up for this, went last year and had a great time. Good to see the comp they are working on..

Love the fact they have banned the 15+ spells, good start IMO

For this event we will be using comp but we will wait a while to assess what we feel needs to be comped - needless to say that in the capable hands of Messrs Pete Scholey And Adi McWalter you can expect a comp pack that lets us all have a good time without nasty filth armies (and shame on you if you were thinking of taking one!). Comp is all tbc but we will definitly be doing the following

1) The points value is 2400 points however the % are different to a reg 2400 game.
Max 500 points on Lords
Max 500 points on heroes
Min 600 pts on Core
Max 1200 pts on Special
Max 600 pts on Rare.

In addition all 15+ spells are banned. If you roll this spell treat it as a double rolled and you can choose any other spell in the deck. All spell lores must be included on your list, if a model has a choice of multi decks (eg Grey Seer) it must choose one from those available.

Some double Rares will be banned - some will not a full concise list will be announced later. Double Hydras are banned for a start though!

No Triple special choices.
